On Friday 12th June the “ Vrije Basisschool Terbank – Egenhoven” (a primary school in Heverlee near Louvain) made a telebridge with Frank De Winne in the ISS. Our project leader mr Patriek Detemmerman also attended this very first Belgian connection with Frank De Winne (ON1DWN)
Information about the communication: OR4ISS (Frank De Winne ON1DWN) and the “Vrije
Basisschool Terbank-Egenhoven” in Heverlee via a Telebridge on Friday 12th June 2009 at 11.38 UTC.
The recording was made by means of a IC821H Transceiver, piloted by HRD and “10 elements cross yagi –antenne”, steered by ARSWIN and Nova-tracking software; Downlink frequency: 145.803.414 MHz
The stream is useful for the preparation of our project VTISL-ARISS with questions to astronaut Frank De Winne (ON1DWN), planned in September.

The project inspired the 5th class “Industrial Science” to write a French storyboard in the French lessons: “Frankdewinnix à l’ ISS”, inspired by and led by mrs Leen De Boever.
The pupils of the fourth year Industrial sciences and their guiding teacher Dhaene G. have drawn the antenna in 3D.
